At Nedstar, we are looking for an all-round Logistics Manager who will take the lead in managing and improving our global logistics operations, from origin to destination. This role goes beyond execution: it combines operational excellence with commercial insight, process improvement, and leadership.

You will be responsible for shipments across global markets, relationship management with key logistics partners, rate negotiations, and the development of new supply chain routes. In addition, you’ll act as a sparring partner to the Head of Logistics and ensure team continuity when needed.

About the role and key responsibilities

What you’ll do

Manage and coordinate international container and ISO-tank shipments
Maintain and build strong relationships with logistics partners and freight forwarders
Negotiate freight rates and service levels
Identify and implement optimal routing and transport solutions
Travel to logistics partners when required to strengthen collaboration
Develop new supply chains in cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Monitor and act on freight market dynamics (tank availability, capacity, pricing)
Design and improve logistics processes and tools for better structure and efficiency
Work closely with digital systems and tools; act as a tech-savvy operator within the team
Contribute to operational improvements and proactively solve problems
Support the Head of Logistics and ensure continuity during absences
Process invoices and understand how logistics decisions impact trade margin and cost

Your profile

What you bring

5–10 years of international experience in container and ISO-tank logistics
Strong knowledge of European road transport (LTL/FTL), intermodal transport, and customs/excise regulations
Commercially sharp and able to negotiate rates and build long-term partnerships
Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus)
Structured, calm, and highly proactive
Skilled in cross-cultural communication and relationship building
A team player with mentoring ability and a helicopter view
Affinity with digital tools (ERP, TMS, data dashboards)
A strong sense for creating structure and improving operational processes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
Able to manage operational pressure with clarity and confidence
